Have you ever wondered just how many beliefs are out there? A quick search of the net reveals that some estimates identify more than 4,000 religions in the world. However, each of these spiritualities is not a single belief, but rather a set of several to hundreds of interrelated yet distinct beliefs. Each one of these distinct spiritual beliefs can and does affect its content as a reality to any individual believing in it. It directly and unequivocally determines what experiences, choices and actions the believing individual may or may not have, make or take within that belief’s scope. Therefore what one believes in any spiritual or religious aspect of their life will literally create the reality and experience of that life aspect in accordance with the believed content.
Perhaps more often than not, we tend to associate the concept of belief mostly if not solely with religion and spirituality. Yet are these the only two aspects of our lives which yield the reality creating effect of belief? Not by a long shot. Let us aggregate every distinct belief in every distinct religious or spiritual dogma or doctrine into a single group of related beliefs, and name this group the Religious / Spiritual belief system. Are there any other belief systems through which we create other aspects of our reality? You betcha.
One of these is the Relationships belief system. In addition to millennia of dogmas or doctrines, the relationships belief system has millennia of cultures and societies contributing to its interrelated yet distinct beliefs. Each one of these distinct relationship beliefs can and does affect its content as a reality to any individual believing in it. It directly and unequivocally determines the social and cultural roles and behaviours the believing individual may or may not express within that belief’s scope.
Another belief system in our physical reality is the Scientific one. Many individuals may outright reject even the mere notion that science is a belief system. Yet since any belief system is comprised of changeable and temporary beliefs, each belief system in our physical reality is not absolute, and therefore neither is science, for science is not absolute. Granted, the scientific belief system provides an extremely high degree of predictability and reliability in the reality we create through its content, yet these qualities are neither complete nor permanent or everlasting, even though they may seem to be, and in this non-absoluteness, they can be none other than beliefs.
Consistent empiric proofs and testimonies as to the non-absoluteness of science lie in plain sight for any individual willing to observe them rather than ignore them. These are the minority observations and experiences in which reality does not unfold or is not created as per the dictates of the scientific beliefs that are supposed to predict them with absolute certainty, known in the scientific vernacular as ‘laws.’ These minority instances have been in existence for as long as science has, and each one of them represents the breakdown of causality – the most basic tenet if not the holy grail without which science is revealed to be the belief system that it is.
One of these consistent minority breakdowns of causality is demonstrated by successful hypnotism, which dates back for millennia and provides empirical proof negating the absoluteness of some of science’s biological and physical ‘laws’ and axioms. Another such proof is the empirically demonstrated placebo effect, which refutes scientific causality perhaps most clearly in its biochemistry aspect. Yet especially throughout its evolution in modern times, it is science itself which increasingly provides undeniable empirical evidence to its own lack of absoluteness, and therefore to its true nature as a belief system.
The first of these were Albert Einstein’s scientific theories, which concluded that the space-time continuum constituting the universe is relative to the individual, rather than absolutely the same for all individuals as dictated by the preluding Newtonian science. The second and perhaps the most profound scientific proof of science’s relative core is provided by the advent of quantum mechanics and its empirically observed ‘laws.’ An undeniable conclusion of these is that the space-time continuum and the entire physical universe are not only relative to the individual, but do not even exist until they are actually perceived by the individual. It is only how, when and where they are uniquely perceived to exist by the individual that they manifest as the unique reality that the individual experiences them to be. If this mind boggling conclusion leads you to comfortably accept that another of the ten belief systems is the Physical one, you would not be incorrect.
All in all, we may group all the great multitudes of beliefs in our physical reality into ten belief systems. Each individual believes in a different collective set of beliefs belonging to each of these ten belief systems. Each individual thus creates their own unique reality from the different collective content of their beliefs. This individually created reality and every physical or nonphysical aspect of it is relative to the individual and independent of any other individual. In Absolute Truth, there is no one, single, absolute reality which all individuals create and experience.
And there you have the principle by which you may create your own reality. For all that you create and experience in your reality, is as it is due to one or another relative beliefs of reality that you hold, rather than an absolute and independent reality that is forced on you by scientific, physical, social or any other ‘laws’ you have no control of. It is the relativity of belief which allows you to create your own reality independently of any other. Unlike any belief, this principle of reality creation is absolute, for it is based in Absolute Truth, which is the absolute principles and actions by which all realities and existences manifest, including your own uniquely created physical universe and reality.
