Give me your delusions
Give me your insane ideas
Come to me with all the propositions you are too afraid to breath into sunlight
Feed me the slice of your heart that dares to dream and I will look at you, marvel at you with starry eyes and say
when do we begin?
i will look at you and not just hope and say good luck idiot
but know firmly that you can arrive there.
There are so many people in this world who are going to look at you like a crackhead on the side of highway 95 looking for the entrance to the milky way when you say tell them want to be a painter, cinematographer, that you want to make houses out of silly putty for a living.
but my love, i promise you i will look at you with fullness of heart and you to show me the blueprints.
In a world where people scoff at the ones who refuse to “grow out” of dreams and call them unrealistic, we need more dream believers.
We need to realize that people who tell us never are speaking out of their own fear, their own blocks and disbelief. And from those people, I urge you, protect your dream fetus.
Do not let vampires suck the blood of a dream to young to yet walk. And seek people who will believe in your baby before it’s seen the light of day. Seek the ones crazy enough to believe.
If you say I want to be an alien when I grow up
I am counting down the days until I can come to your first earth landing and I will stand and applaud as you deboard that spacecraft.
I will bring you fat camellias and sayI always knew you’d do it.
why?
because I’m a believer.
I remember your power.
Because dreams don’t come from nowhere, they come from somewhere up there in the heavens
You weren’t born to sort taxes or sell houses, my love. No god, no matter how hellish sent you here to do that.
You were born with an intuition nestled into the red vessels of your heart.
You were born with a knowing of your destiny.
And when you first dreamt that dream your mind was still free
It didn’t think within a timeline that said 50k by 25 and kids 5.25 years after so you’re financially stable but still young enough to play, and cue the midlife crisis at 57 then travel once you’ve retired and your knobby knees are aching.
You were born knowing your power was infinite.
You ripped into this world screaming to be heard.
You beautiful thing, you have always known where to focus your energy.
You have only forgotten
And I forgot, too.
Such a silly thing, the way we forget only to remember again.
I have remembered
and I remember you because we were once one.
I remember your dreams and the way you dance along waves as big as Tanjong.
Your dreams are not jokes to me
they are evidence of god. signed.
“i made this – love, yours truly”
if you want it, go get it.
I will open my door to you any day of the week
let’s sit down, have a cold cup of coffee
Show me the blueprints
Show me where the rafters will go.
Build that house out of silly putty,
and I will bring over casserole for dinner.
