Oftentimes individuals take a quick look at the surface appearance of things and believe that they know what’s up. That they see and perceive the truth of things, that which is True and Real. What the average individual oftentimes fail to realize is that the surface appearance rarely reveals the truth of anything. It is an appearance, an effect. It is merely the tiny visible part of the totality of things, the needle point of the iceberg so to speak.
We live and move in a time where there appears to be much chaos and turmoil in the world. A lot of seeming negative and bad things are happening and so for the untrained eye, it would appear as though negativity is about to take over the planet. From a high enough perspective though, the order underneath appearance becomes clear. The old is dying and the new is emerging. And as the old is dying it is dying loudly, kicking and screaming it’s way into dissolution.
In all of the cosmos there is only Divine order. Nothing ever happens out of chance, or luck or happenstance, but everything has a place and everything is right on place.
As the saying goes:
Things don’t just happen, they happen just.
In other words, whenever something seeming bad happens it is nothing but a wake upp call telling us that there is some area of our lives that we need to turn our attention toward, that needs to be healed and mended. It is only God telling us that there are still some things we need to learn, to cultivate or to release before we can move forward. And we have to learn, to cultivate or release these things if we want to move forward.
We always need to realize that God is forever for each of us never against any of us. God does not never seek to block or hinder us from going forward. God will sometimes point and nudge us in the right direction but God will always leave all of the choices to us, according to the free will God has given each of us.
And so, it is important that we, whenever we perceive seeming negativity; in our lives or the world, seek to take on a higher perspective. That we seek to see through the eyes of God that we may see the order and the good within and underneath the seeming negativity.
If seeing the order and the good presents a challenge it is helpful to ask questions like: “What good is here that I presently cannot see?”, or “What is my lesson here?” – rather than ”Why me?” or ”Why again?”
As we ask such affirmative questions we make ourselves open and available for the good to reveal itself and as it does, we may want to give thanks for it.
This is spiritual practice. This is building spiritual muscles allowing us to see God’s presence and beauty everywhere. The good of God always. And as we strengthen these spiritual muscles, as we gradually increase our ability to see the world through the fully open eyes of God rather than the myopic and limited eyes of the ego we begin to realize that we no longer perceive things as problems, bad or negative.
Instead we see that everything is working for our good, both personally and collectively. That there is good in everything that happens, even in the midst of what our surface mind would call chaos or calamity. If we are but willing and courageous enough to see it.
We always need to be aware that that which we perceive, that which we see is always infinitesimal to that which we cannot perceive. To that which we cannot see. In other words, judging anything from appearance is bound to give rise to pain and suffering, as we see only a tiny, tiny dot of the totality.
Truly everything is working for all of our good – in full accordance with the will of God which always is for greater expression of all of Life. This is why all of Life exists, that God may come into forever greater and grander expression in and as all of Life. And so, even when things appears to be going backwards – they are in truth always moving forward.
Even when things appear to be bad or negative, they are in truth always working for the good of all. The Divine order sees to this. This is what the evolutionary impulse that penetrates and permeates all of cosmos is all about.
