3 Beneficial Yoga Poses To Get Rid Of Nausea

Do you often feel like vomiting or have a feeling of it? Is it accompanied by dizziness, sweating, and stomach pain? This uneasy feeling in the stomach which is characterized by the urge to vomit is referred to as Nausea. Though it is not an illness itself, yet it is a symptom of various illnesses.

Before you start digging for solutions to keep this problem at bay, it is worth learning about some common causes.

What causes nausea?

It can stem from a number of causes. While there are people who are highly sensitive to motion, there are other allergic to certain foods or medications, which can further cause nausea. Some of the major reasons behind nausea are described below.

  • Motion sickness and seasickness due to a bumpy ride on a vehicle can transmit messages to the brain to not sync up with the senses. It leads to nausea, vomiting, and dizziness.
  • It can be due to overeating or eating certain foods, you are allergic to.
  • Heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can make your stomach’s contents come back when you eat.
  • There can be some bacteria or viruses affecting the stomach, leading to nausea.
  • Intake of certain medications might upset the stomach and contribute to nausea.
  • Intense pain can like of pancreatitis, gallbladder stones, and or kidney stones, can make you prone to this condition.

While some of them are avoidable conditions, others are not. But not to worry; you can treat this problem in a more natural and efficient way with the help of yoga. Better if you consider someone who has undergone yoga teacher training as they will be more helpful in assistive. Besides, here are three easy poses to try initially. Have a look:

1. Viparita Karani: You can try this lying on your bed. Also known as the Legs up the Wall Pose, it is a very comforting asana. While it removes stress and fatigue, it also calms your body and regulates imbalances in a matter of minutes. After it your stomach will feel more oxygenated.

2. Supta Virasana: Being one of the most effective yoga poses for nausea, it is the easiest one too. As you practice it, the weight of the diaphragm is lifted from your liver and stomach. Hence, it simple gives more space and time to recuperate. You will feel relaxed, as the stress and tension will be relieved from your stomach significantly.

3. Baddha Konasana: You can combine this on with proper breathing to overcome the intense and horrible feeling of nausea. As it stimulates the abdominal organs, it will help removing all the blocks.
