Eco-Beauty Review: Pangea Organics Australian Wild Plum and Willow Facial Cleanser ~ Jen Murphy

Finally, a fantastic organic facial cleanser for combo to oily skin!

Pangea Organics has really done it with their new facial cleanser for combination to oily and problem skin. It took them long enough to design a cleanser for this range of skin types, but the wait was well worth it.

A creamy gel cleanser. Yum!

A gel formula that’s creamy to the touch but lathers like a gel should, this facial cleanser has just the right amount of cleansing to remove any buildup on the skin (including makeup, excess oil and general grime) while maintaining its delicate pH balance without stripping the skin; a tall order for any cleanser. The cleansing ingredients themselves are sugar based with the addition of some very unique extracts to clarify, purify, refine and brighten the complexion. Native American Yucca extract provides a truly luscious lather while a combination of nutrient-rich Aboriginal Australian wild plum extracts revitalize and balance the skin. Willowherb is a tried and true Native American acne remedy, and the New Zealand Manuka honey which has gentle but strong anti-bacterial powers is also reputed to have magical healing powers.

 And the best part . . .

Efficacy aside, the BEST thing about using this facial cleanser is the experience of lathering up your face with it. I know I’ve already mentioned the creamy lusciousness of the experience (worth mentioning several times), but the real winner is the scent. I am transported during my morning shower to a land where everything is perfectly lovely and clean, and I am lifted out of my fog of sleep into a day full of bright possibilities. Sometimes I even wish I had oily skin so that I could use this cleanser every day (gasp!) . . .
