I once met Love

I once met Love;

His skin was magnet, his hair was red

His eyes crystals of magnifying glass

Or hidden oracles his lips sometimes

Spoke off his tongue taylor-made just for me

To believe in divine things

His arms were the sturdy scaffolding

Under which many dreams were made

Real

His chest was like a stubborn mighty wind

Through which I found shelter and made fire out of my

Tinder

He smelled of a sure thing and his kisses

were like a trail for me to follow

out of the emptyness and hollow

Solitude –

Sometimes his fingers turned into the right keys

To open bliss and places never known before

He had a birthmark in the shape of my heart

and his heart was a map to freedom

from each and every prison

His shadow was a mirror of my own

Dark and he reflected my sparks

His smile was painted by mystery and sometimes

I was the canvas.

I once met Love

And his love was like a message in a bottle

somehow landing on my shore

Which read take note carefully and let me

Drift away again because this is the lifesaving

message meant to be

read by many

I once met Love and now I know he lives

With Hope in a place inside where

These things just don’t die. ~”
