Why People Buy Pets (and what you should consider Instead).

Do you ever feel a little guilty when someone asks is it a rescue or did you buy your dog?

I understand…you bought the dog because you wanted a puppy.

You bought the dog because you wanted a certain breed.

You bought the dog because you could train it your way.

You bought the dog because it wouldn’t have emotional or behavioral scars.

You bought the dog because it didn’t have previous health issues.

You bought the dog because you wanted a blank slate…to train, to grow with, to not have difficulties.

Everyone wants the “Golden Retriever” the perfect dog. So you buy it…

But is the dog at the shelter or sitting in foster not perfect? Do they deserve less than the perfect family. Maybe that dog is looking for perfect also… the perfect you, but they can’t buy you.
