Green Reviews: My Cork Bath Mat from Gaiam.

Come summer, I rarely towel dry. I get out of shower, dripping, soaking everything up as I walk outside to my hot sunny balcony, do my Kasung-inspired calisthenics and a sun salute and downdog, and within a moment or two I’m dry.

Still, my bathroom is left looking like the sink broke. Puddles everywhere, including all over my new cork (a sustainable resource) bath mat from Gaiam.

After a month of such rough, bacteria-loving treatment, I can give it two thumbs up. You never have to hang it to dry, the floor beneath can breathe within an hour or two, and the mat hasn’t curled or anything.

It also looks cool, modern, and the texture feels great on my tired feet. The small size is particularly affordable, and both involve a minimum of manufacturing and are completely natural, non-toxic, non-off gassing.

Two green thumbs up—this mat is a great choice for eco-minded families everywhere.

Get it here.

Replace a bacteria-breeding bath mat with this all-natural cork alternative. The naturally antifungal Cork Bath Mat dries quickly because it won’t hold moisture. Soft, nonslip surface. Sustainably harvested; manufacturer is a certified member of the Forest Stewardship Council. Choose small (23¼”L x 17½”W x ½”D) or new larger size (35½”L x 23¾”W x ½”D). Portugal.
