“Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in.”
Leonard Cohen
Commitment and determination are quite strong today, but we may find ourselves struggling with deciding exactly which route to take to get where we want to go. If we’re feeling uncertain, it is likely because we have some sense that the tables are about to turn — which they are! Mars arrives in Scorpio just before midnight tonight, setting up a standoff opposition with Uranus in Taurus. A strong concern over how we appear to others may also have us paralyzed by uncertainty. Our general sense of direction is a bit fuzzy at best. The temptation to make sharp turns or attempt quick strikes is probably misguided so we’ll do better to slow down and avoid any inclination to be reckless or hasty.
Tomorrow is another story.
THE WEEK AHEAD: We cover a whole LOT of ground this week. The long round of paralyzing uncertainty begins to fade into the background. However, we need to be willing to open the doors to outside input and new ideas in order to make the most of this week’s opportunities and begin to establish the kind of tangible stability we’re looking for. The shifts are significant. Mars leaves abrasively indecisive Libra for ‘determined’ Scorpio and the Sun leaves ‘controlled’ Scorpio for expansive and courageous Sagittarius. As well, Mercury turns direct, ruling a Virgo Moon on Wednesday, giving extra power to the important details that Mercury has unearthed during its retrograde motion in Scorpio. This week’s shifts will become much more tangible once we arrive at next week’s New Moon (November 26th, 7:05 AM PST 4° Sagittarius), so this is actually a week for getting organized, laying groundwork and resuming our efforts to build coalitions and alliances. A forming Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius contributes to a feeling of expansiveness and brings a philosophical attitude that can enhance our enjoyment of this week’s shifts which serve to ease the ongoing uncertainty. We may have the feeling that the tables have turned. However, the Venus-Jupiter conjunction can also become the fly in the ointment of this week’s powerful shifts. We may miss important opportunities if we only absorb the goodwill and don’t actively engage with others to gain the inspiration and guidance that we need in order to make the most of this environment.
