You Wonder If My Writing is a Cry For Help

You wonder if my writing is a cry for help.

No, my writing is to help others cry.

Crying is a release of suffering. It is so beneficial, almost necessary, to let out your emotions in order to let of of what no longer serves you. Emotions are ok, and so is sadness. Being sad is just as natural as being happy, and just as beautiful too. I write to let you know that we are all humans going through some shit and you are not alone. We have our strengths and our shortcomings. We’re all just trying to figure it out. The best way to overcome these obstacles is to talk about it and find support from the people you trust — friends, family, etc.

When I have a problem or am scared, I call a friend and immediately get out of my own head. My ego and irrational fear quickly subside. They say our friends are our lifelines, and that’s because they give us life. I encourage you not to bottle up your emotions the next time you’re sad or afraid, but to reach out to your lifeline. It doesn’t have to be me, though I’m available to all.

Embrace your lifelines. Be a lifeline.
