She calls me Fear Huntress

She calls me Fear Huntress.
A name
A noun
A verb
A sound

A title
An identity
A way of life

A gift.

She calls me Fear Huntress
And I do not wince
In fact, chest expands
Head holds high
Truth rings true

I embrace.

Fear Huntress.

Claim. Reclaim. Reclamation.
For I do not fear all that I am
I make love to my shadow with fingers and tongue and words.
Under weight I claw backs.
I caress it’s edges,
Sharp and shared.

She calls me Fear Huntress and I smile.
Oh how I smile.
