The world is crazy and overwhelming and frightening right now.

It’s understandable that many of us are having a hard time keeping our anxiety and worry down.

But my spirits were instantly lifted when I started seeing videos of Italians (in countrywide quarantine) singing and playing music from windows and balconies.

They’re a beautiful, powerful reminder of the solidarity and community and humanity—and art—that happens when regular people are swallowed up in a crisis.
