How to Celebrate a Birthday With the Help of a Personal Chef

These past few months in quarantine have been strange. So much has changed with social distancing guidelines, from new restaurant takeout procedures to grocery stores moving online. My sister’s birthday is coming up in August, hopefully, things will start to settle down. We’ve been looking for safe, fun ways to celebrate inside with a few friends and family members. She’s been looking forward to her birthday for a while, so we wanted to find something special.

One of the things we’ve considered is hiring a personal chef for her birthday dinner. We could host a small dinner party with a meal of her favorite foods and try something new to set her special day apart from the everyday. If you’re having trouble thinking of ways to celebrate as I did, here are some reasons why I started looking at personal chefs for my sister’s birthday.

Choose Any Cuisine

There are so many personal chefs available in our area with so many specialties. There is so much variety, from Japanese tempura to Indian chicken tikka masala. Once I figure out what my sister wants, I can find a personal chef with that specialty and discuss a menu for her dinner. We’re both pescatarians, so we don’t eat meat, but we eat fish, eggs, and milk. I thought it would be difficult to find personal chefs with our dietary restrictions, but chefs are trained to create great flavors and meet food restrictions. Since it’s a meal just for us, everything is customized. The only difficulty would be getting her to decide on a menu of only one dinner’s worth of food.

Watch a Professional Chef in Action

My sister and I grew up watching fantastic pro chefs on T.V, but we have never seen one cook for us in person. With at least six feet between our dining table and kitchen, we safely converse with a personal chef. My sister enjoys being in the kitchen, so this is the perfect opportunity to let her meet someone with a lot of professional experience. Either way, I think she would be excited to have a professional chef cooking for her in our kitchen.

Dinner Parties With Personal Chefs Are Fancy

What’s fancier than having a professional chef cook a private and special meal for you in your own home? Not much. I thought this would be a fun way to make her birthday special, especially since we’ve been in quarantine for so long. We’ve never tried anything like this before, but that’s the fun part of trying anything new. My sister loves having dinner parties, and a personal chef would set her birthday dinner apart from her other dinner parties.

But best of all, it’s…

Good Food Without the Hassle

Please let me be able to get her the food she loves on her birthday. My luck recently with getting large amounts of takeout has left me with spilled food and a mess. A personal chef would solve all my troubles of trying to transport food on my own. They would be preparing everything in my kitchen, bringing ingredients and their cookware. I don’t have to worry about providing anything except a sink, stove, refrigerator, and oven. A personal chef will plate the food for us, bring it to the table, and all we’ll have to worry about is getting the food into our mouths. Plus, they’ll leave my kitchen clean as they found it, so I don’t have to worry about clean up after they go.

While I haven’t finalized anything, I’ve been researching personal chefs and with my sister to see if she likes the idea. I want to give her a special birthday in light of things, but sometimes it’s hard to tell what she likes. However, I think she might like a personalized dinner in the privacy of our home as we celebrate her. I’ll let the personal chef take care of the birthday dinner, and I’ll be spying these creative handmade gifts.
