Namaskaram,

Did you know in Yoga their is a small nail rubbing Exercise which Helps to treat hair related problems.

This Amazing exercise is Known as Balayam Yoga or Nail Rubbing Exercise.

In India, most of the peoples don’t know its name directly but practicing it has always been seen in most of the Traditional Families.

Similarly, when I was small we siblings regularly use to perform this amazing Nail rubbing Exercise as guided by our grandmother!

That time we use to do this Balayam yoga regularly unaware of its amazing benefits. But now I can confidently say that I have thick smooth silky hair (A special thanks to my grandma).

So what Is Balayam Yoga.?

What is Balayam Yoga?

Balayam yoga is a simple technique of rubbing the fingernails together while keeping your thumb upright. This is thought to stimulate blood flow to the scalp, thereby offering a remedy for problems like hair fall, dandruff, graying, etc.

Balayam is a union of two Hindi words Bal and Vyayam where Bal means Hairs and Vyayam indicates Exercise. In simple language ‘Balayam‘ means an exercise for hairs. To be more specific, Balayam is an Acupressure therapy in which a person rubs his/her fingernails of both hands against each other to stimulate the scalp’s activities. This stimulation if done correctly, frequently and for a longer period of time is known to boost natural hair growth and cure MPB (i.e. Male Pattern Baldness or Androgenic Alopecia) observed in some men and women.

Regularly Practising of this amazing exercise would definitely help us to solve hair related problems.
