A simple Visualization Practice to Manifest a little bit of Hope.

“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” ~ Desmond Tutu

We’re all looking for something more during these difficult and challenging times.

More outside of ourselves, more things to distract ourselves with, and more reasons to find hope. There is so much loss right now: death, loss of jobs, finances, joy, and optimism. But I want to invite you to a practice that I like to call “Manifesting Hope.”

It’s not just a mindset, a list of positive attributes, or counting the blessings that you have (although that is also a good thing to do). It is a practice of putting yourself into a hopeful place every day.

With COVID-19, there’s a lot of things that we can’t change, such as societal requirements or people who have sadly passed away. However, we are in control of what goes on in our minds. What I’d like to invite you to do every day is to manifest hope.

This isn’t a hard practice, and it doesn’t take much time at all.

I invite you when you wake up, or before you go to bed to enter a relaxed state. You can lie down, or sit up—it’s your choice. As you start to relax, and feel more centered in your body, allow your mind to wander to a place you would love to be in. It doesn’t have to be a real place; it could be somewhere you have never visited, or a place you’ve been to many times.

Either way, allow yourself to imagine that place. Make it as vibrant as possible. Allow yourself to breathe in the scents, and to touch the fabrics. Look around at the sky wherever you imagine you are. The more real you make it, the better it will be.

Now this might sound like a meditation practice, but there’s a difference. As you imagine yourself in that environment, I invite you to almost teleport your spirit there. Many people understand that time is multidimensional—our spirit might be in many places at the same time. That said, as you are at your favorite place, I invite you to allow yourself to fully project your spirit and body into that secret space.

It is almost like astral projection but it can also be to a place of your own imagination. Allow yourself to spend as much time as you can in there. While you walk around, exploring, allow that sense of hope and happiness to fill your being. Touch it, feel it, smell it, and know it to be true.

While you experience that beautiful place, you also manifest your desires in a real, genuine way. You allow the desires you feel to become more real to you in that moment. You are basically putting those feelings into the universe, and allowing them to be known. By living those moments, not only you are filling up your hope cup, but you are also manifesting your future—it’s a win-win situation.

After you have spent your desired amount of time at this place, allow yourself to slowly come back to this world. You will definitely feel lighter, happier, and more at peace.

If you practice this every day, I promise you will carry that sense of hope with you throughout your days. In addition, this hope will support you through any difficulties that you may encounter.

While we are not in control of the current crisis outside, we are in control of the beautiful gardens we can grow on the inside. I encourage you to spend time in your own garden, palace, or beach. It will nurture you in ways you can’t even imagine.

Sending you love and hugs.

~
