Find the Good

Find the good—it’s all around.

You might see it when you look up,

And maybe when you look down.

It could be to the left of you

Or it might be to the right.

It could be directly in front of you

Or not yet within your sight.

Look for it, because it is near.

It’s in the beauty of nature

And in those you hold dear.

It could be a dragonfly

Or vines that climb a garden wall.

It could be a smile or a touch

Or a kindness, no matter how small.

Look for it, because it abounds

In the rising of the sun

And in peaceful ocean sounds.

It could be some beautiful flowers

Or a bird atop a tree.

It could be a funny joke that’s shared

Or perhaps it’s a memory.

Look for it, because when you do,

It connects to the expression of love

That lives inside of you!
