According to Vedic knowledge and beliefs the seven chakras as the seven centers of the energy inside a human’s body. These chakras are present at the different places inside the human body and they perform some action related to the control of the energy. These chakras can get blocked and unblocked due to several reasons. The yogic knowledge says that you can control these seven energy centers as well. In this article, I am going to tell you all about these chakras and their function and places in the human body.
- The Root Chakra
This chakra is the first among the seven in the series. It is also called the Muladhara chakra as well. It is at the root of the human body. All other chakras are placed above it. It is the bottom line of all chakras. This chakra is very important as it is the root or fundamental chakra. It is said to perform the survival functions.
- The Sacral Chakra
It is the second chakra in the series of the seven chakras, placed above the root chakra. It is also called the emotional center of the body. It is responsible for all kinds of sensations that a human feel. This chakra is important for the sensations of the human body.
- The Solar Plexus Chakra
According to the yogic scripts, it is the third chakra, among the list of the seven chakras placed above the sacral chakra. It is also called Manipura. Its position is slightly above the belly button. This chakra allows you to spread or express your power or energy in the world.
- The Heart Chakra
This chakra is at the fourth position in the list of the seven chakras, as the name says it is a chakra that is related to the heart. It is positioned in the middle of the chest of the human body. It is also called the Anahata. It is considered the fourth physical center of energy in the human body.
- The Throat Chakra
The throat chakra is at the number five, in the list of seven chakras, this is placed above the heart chakra. As the name suggests positioned in the throat. This is important for your neck and your throat also your face and your mouth. It is also called the Vishudha chakra.
- The 3rd Eye Chakra
This is the chakra that is at the number six in your body and it represents the third eye, according to yogic beliefs this chakra is present between your eyebrows and it is your third eye. It is also called the Ajna chakra.
- The Crown Chakra
It is the last in the list of seven chakras, positioned at the head or the top of seven chakras. This chakra is very important. It is also called Sahasrara. It is considered as your entry point into your life. Simply saying that this chakra is for your brain energy.
All these seven chakras are the seven different centers of the energy in human body and they are responsible for performing different actions in your body. To unblock these chakras, you need to perform different yoga positions.
