Trust (poetry)

Trust.

It was something she gave away so easily before,

Just like her love,

She had to learn the hard way

Damn did it hurt,

It broke every piece of her,

From her past lovers,

Family,

Old friends,

So her walls went up higher than ever before,

She closed herself off,

She closed her heart,

Oh, how lonely she became,

She went within,

To find what was the cause,

She started to see and understand,

WHY

Her inner knowing was with her every step of the way,

Making it safe for her to be within,

She had healed herself,

She forgave them,

She forgave herself,

But her walls stayed up,

She saw her worth,

She the truth,

She didn’t deserve what had happen to her,

But the lessons she had learned,

Gave her something she never had before,

The true her,

She saw her beauty,

She saw her gifts,

She saw her talents,

She saw how big her heart truly was,

Oh how she needed to protect herself from the world,

It gave her the strength to be open again,

But only if she got honesty and if they came with the true them,

In love,

In friendship,

It was a very slow, painful process to even get close to her,

Her walls are high as the sky,

But so worth the climb if she decides to let you in.

Picture of me being silly.

I am who I am because of the pain I have been through and all the betrayal’s. I had to learn to see people for what they were. I had to observe what they had showed from the beginning and stop trying to see the good in them. I do see the good everyone, but not everyone will be good.

I will reach every goal I set for myself, because that drive I have is unlimited to what I want. That doesn’t mean I wont mess up along the way or get lost, but where’s the fun in a straight road.

That’s all for now.

I also have a Facebook page if you would like to see more poems and my artwork.
