Meditation Letters

Photo by John-Mark Smith on Pexels.

The idea of handwritten letters and journals, personally, never left me. There’s is a certain magic in writing by hand and it can definitely be a form of meditation. Techniques abound when it comes to mindfulness and putting pen to paper. Write without thinking, write with your non-dominant hand, write whatever comes to mind, just write!

My idea is to write a guided meditation but designed to be read rather than listened to. Add a piece of art on top of that, and you have an illustrated meditation letter.

The uses of it also can be many. Send it to a friend (oh the lost world of snail mail!), keep it on your altar, in your journal, in a book, and read it for a quick meditation. Frame it and use it with your family on a daily or weekly basis. And so much more!

What I decided to do with my letters, was to share them via a subscription service and send people a monthly physical letter to meditate with and collect.
