We all have three bodies – Physical body, mental body, and Energy body. Think of your Energy body as the outermost shell of you. So whenever any energy, thought or person enters your space, they first enter your energy body, then your mental body and finally your physical body. Hence a lot of people, when they come across a certain person might feel either very positive or very negative in their presence because they carry that kind of energy.
How Does Negative Energy Enter Our Space?
Everything is energy – words, thoughts, actions, emotions, feelings, even objects contain energy. So when we touch an object, or when we meet a person, or when a person talks to us or thinks about us or even mentions us to someone else, they are sending energy our way. This energy can be positive or negative. Now our energy bodies have an immune system of their own and protect us from most of the negative energy and filter in the positive energy. But when a very strong negative energy is entering our space even our energy bodies can’t protect us and that is how negative energy enters our body.
Effects of Negative Energy
Imagine you are in a mall and you cross a fast food joint. Now you have been working on your body for a while and you think one burger or one pizza won’t matter. In reality however, to burn off the bad calories from the burger and the pizza, you will need to work-out extra for at least a month. Similarly, when negative energies enter our space, sometimes they are so fierce that to go back to normal or to negate their effects, people take years. Hence, it is better to protect ourselves from negative energies entering our space at the very start to prevent any damage.
How to Shield Ourselves from Negative Energy
Nityakarm – Something you do every day – A daily ritual. Every religion advises its followers to do a daily routine to protect them against negativity. Islam advises a 5-time Namaaz. Sikhism advises Guru Granth Paath. Sanatan Dharm advises Puja and Dhyaana or meditation. When looked at spiritually, these aren’t just praying practices. They are rituals to help you clear out negativity and welcome in blessings and positivity from God, the Divine Power, the Universe, or whichever name you address the Almighty with.
Another great method to shield yourself is to follow your Guru Mantra. A Guru Mantra is given to you by your Guru along with a method and instructions to do it. This is like your customized shield which is only made for you and is used to protect only you. So if you have a Guru, they must have given you a Guru Mantra which you can chant.
