Authentic Appreciation Creates a High Vibe!

Gratitude: showing or expressing thanksespecially to another person.
Appreciation: the act of recognizing or understanding that
something is
valuableimportant, or as described.

These two things are foundational to creating a life well-lived. When we can see value, the silver lining and blessings even in the challenges and give gratitude for even challenges, life gets easier.  Yes, this may seem strange, but I challenge you to give it a go.

Simple in theory, possibly not so when life is falling apart. The feeling of gratitude is a high frequency, which when felt attracts a lot more good things back to us.  The magnet principle – what we send out, a matching vibration seeking to connect with us. The challenge though, is to remove any dichotomies or opposing beliefs that are not in alignment with our focused attention.  To be honestly appreciative and grateful in heart and mind, and not only the mind.

Yes, we can push through and use the Pollyanna approach, but it is much more powerful when we let go and transform the limiting beliefs that ask us to ‘look for’ the good, while still feeling we are not good enough, worthy enough to have, we are faulty or damaged, or not important enough to be looked after with good things and life experiences.  Shift these, and the world really does become your oyster, and your servant.  The trick is in being in alignment with the greatest gift of all – being connected to Pure Love and living from this place more.

There’s a poem “Thank God for Dirty Dishes”

Thank God for dirty dishes; They have a tale to tell.
While others may go hungry, We’re eating very well
With home, health, and happiness, I shouldn’t want to fuss;
By the stack of evidence, God’s been very good to us.
Author: Mary Stuber

Not sure how to use this poem relates?
Explore what is irritating you, and flip it.
Consider what life could be like if you didn’t have the irritation.
Could it mean you have significantly fewer life riches or experiences than you do now?

For example
Do your family members irritate you?
What could it mean if they were not there? What if they vanished, and you didn’t have them in your life?  If you realise you would have more peace, but you would miss them too much, how can you create more peace for yourself?

  • Schedule some alone time, delegate and create healthier boundaries, hire a child sitter so you can have some time alone.
  • Teach others that there is a sacred time of the day where no one interrupts you.  This may not be easy to do, but brain dump your ideas or explore Self-care really is not negotiable, and even small amounts of honest self-care can do wonders to our sense of self.

How about your work commitments?
What would your life be or look like without it, long term and not only for a holiday? What would you rather be doing? Could you build this idea into a work job or your own business? What could happen if you didn’t have work?

Options, or a sense of freedom?
What would this look like? What changes do you feel you need to make, your point of view, or your perspective on what is happening? What is your circle of influence? What can you do differently, change, schedule, delegate, saying no to things that don’t bring you joy?  Do you need to learn new skills around boundaries, requesting help and self-empowerment? Do you need to learn how to confidently say no, and follow through against the challenges this choice creates?

Remember, it is our beliefs that create our thoughts > choices > actions> habits.
Change any of these there will be change.
Change the root source – beliefs about who, what, and how we should be and life changes in response.

When we do this, the untold benefits become more obvious.  There is contentment, and peace when we realise how good we have things.  When we appreciate ourselves, family, friends, opportunities as gifts and blessings, gratitude is easier.  We attract more of the same. We look for the good in more areas of our life, not out of guilt and shame that others are not as well of us, but because we have so much, we are grateful.  The volume of blessings increases and grows.

Gratitude spurs more appreciation, like the spiral of all things.
Once we start, to focus on the yellow car,
we see them everywhere and we become the self-fulling prophecy of evidence we seek.

Real gratitude is much more than politeness, it’s that deep emotional and mental state of genuine thankfulness, and felt in the heart and stomach area. How we acquire our good fortune in life being from our efforts, talents, random luck, or a gift from God, the truth still is we could spend a full day identifying all the things that merit gratitude.

One last stand out point :
“If you never learn the language of gratitude,
you’ll never be on speaking terms with happiness.”

ACTIVITY:
Take a few moments to list at least 50 things you are grateful for.  Consider the big things that are really obvious through to the smallest.  Feel how you feel when you honestly see the abundance we are blessed with.  If you struggle, feel the struggle and flip it.

Join us in the closed group and share there to inspire others to do this powerful exercise too, or return email with your list. I would so love to hear your wins and shifts you see after you explore the above question.

You are doing a wonderful job of being the best you can, at the moment, with your circumstances and challenges. You are choosing what you feel to be the safest and easiest thing for you and most likely more for others.  Taking on too much of other’s needs and expectations and not focusing on you?
