Oct. 25, 2009-Canons signal the start of the 34th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C.

30,000 people ran in D.C.’s famed Marine Corps Marathon. I shot photos with a reporter who wrote a story about Kathryn Laganza from Norwalk, Conn., who ran with her father, Joseph Charles Moosbrugger. The father is a pretty experienced marathoner and raced with 15 stitches in his leg! Here are some of my images from the morning—enjoy!
