The “Elephant”in the room

The old expression “the elephant in the room” a metaphorical idiom for an important or enormous or obvious topic, question, or controversial issue that everyone knows about but most won’t talk about , acknowledge or in this instance.. speak on truthfully . Why is that? One might mention the reason being ,because it makes at least some of them uncomfortable. Or maybe it’s  personally, socially, or politically embarrassing, controversial, inflammatory, or the most obvious reason… Who doesn’t want to be on the right side of history. The Washington post just published a news Ed indicating two investors in Moderna make it to the Forbes wealthiest list. Now some would say there’s nothing new about this. For years, decades, and even generations there has been a exploitation of fear, health and popularity in order to enrich a certain few. What’s puzzling or maybe not so much  is how obvious the elephant in the room is.  Unfortunately this goes completely or mostly unnoticed. Pfizer,  another hugh profiter in the matrix of this story line just asked drug regulators to allow children as young as five to be vaccinated.   I get it, some would say it’s a healthy trade off. It’s for your own safety. It’s for the safety and well being of our children , better yet all of humanity. Fair point, but another point and I dare to say a more obvious point would be at what cost. Why are the personal truths so detrimental when it comes to this but so liberating when it comes to other subject matters? What happen to live your truth? My body my choice. Live your life . Or one of my personal favorites, only God can judge me. Is a meadocre life more important then the quality of life. Let me put it like this ,  would a zombie like existence be preferable to no existence at all? What If the gap between the wealthiest and the poorest is the cost? A cost  paid for by the sake of human existence. I know more then a few people that have taken penitentiary chances at a better life verses just existing. I myself was in that category. Why would one trade the possibility at a decision lead life , mistakes and all for a at least Iam existing lead life. It’s a life described as a at least I’am here. I dont even have to make decisions,  right wrong or indifferent.  All my decisions are made for me. So ,even as the elephant in the room continues to grow so does the inability of those to recognize it.
