Smells like henna.

Henna (Lawsonia inermis, also called henna tree) is a flowering plant used since antiquity to dye skin, hair, fingernails, leather and wool.

Part one of two.

Wait! Some rules before you start that I didn’t follow, but you can, and your henna experience will maybe be better than mine. Learn from my mistakes.

Rules. Unless you want to free form.

1) Mix your henna in a non-metal bowl with a non metal utensil. Metal may interfere with henna’s staining abilities. I chose to mix mine in a metal bowl with a metal utensil. My hands are still stained red.

2) Jen says to get gloves so you don’t stain your hands.

3) Maybe try to have a dark coloured towel or two around. All mine are white. And my bed sheets are white too. Or they were white, now they have deep green blotches.
