Chandigarh, Punjab elections have taken place again and everybody is shocked with the miraculous victory of the Aam Aadmi Party over Congress and BJP. The election results were declared on Thursday and AAP has managed to win 92 assembly seats out of 117. It was a remarkable defeat for traditionally winning parties like Congress, BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal.

How have these election results impacted the people of Chandigarh and Punjab people? The consequences of these on the other parties? In my opinion, the state has chosen to trust a new party, in order to hope for the development of the state. Punjab is a state that has gone on a bizarre track for many years. The parties which used to win polls in Punjab have failed to maintain a sort of trust and honesty between people, losing their confidence. This is the reason why people from Chandigarh have experienced a new party for collecting the people and taking them forward together.

Bhagwant Mann is the party leader of the state and he is very excited to become the chief minister of the state. It is predicted to be a huge step in the politics of the National leader of AAP against BJP and its leader, Narendra Modi. Leaders from BJP are all set to quit their roles, congratulating the winning. As a part of Punjab citizenship, I hope to see Punjab leveling up in the state as well as the country’s politics.

Mr. Arvind Kejriwal has repeatedly said in his speech that ‘instead of playing politics, he favors building schools and hospitals.’ He also mentions that he doesn’t discriminate between people from any political party and believes in working together. This is a progressive approach for the state. I hope that these claims are true and so we voted in favor of the party.

AAP has even surpassed the political farmer’s party. The Sanyukt Samaj Morcha has gained the only seat in the elections. And we still hope for the betterment of farmers and the agricultural industry by the AAP members. The leaders from other parties have accepted their defeat and congratulated the AAP members for their victory.

The struggle of the AAP leader, Bhagwant Mann from a comedian to a political leader is being considered a measure cause of the victory. The AAP chief, in speech, recalled the dreams of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh of freeing India from the laws and loot since the British period. The party has brought about a revolution in Delhi, for 7 years, in terms of medical and educational facilities.

We have seen the changes made by AAP since 2017. And the Chief of AAP, Mr. Kejriwal has been claiming for the ‘badlaav’ that is ‘revolution’. These things have made us trust the Aam Aadmi Party and its leaders.

I will not say that Punjab is a backward state but it won’t be wrong to say that Punjab needs to be developed more. It needs progress in agriculture, education, and medical fields. Many traditional winning parties promised this kind of progress but proved to be false every time. The people of Chandigarh hence thought of trusting a new party in the 2022 elections. It is high time, we need to see a drastic positive change in Punjab.

And this is the reason why we have chosen to trust the AAP this time. We expect it to meet the expectations of Punjab. This is my opinion but the Punjab Election results of 2022. Let me know yours in the comments section below.
