Advice for ex-Muslims: Don’t blame the Quran for your own lack of understanding.

I swear I am not saying that I fully understand the entire messages of the Quran. Still reading someone (which she happens to be an ex Muslim), which in an article declares that other books give better effect of fulfillment of her life style than the Quran, quite surprises me.

Yes, of course I have to admit that as a Muslim myself, I am obliged to believe the entire messages (verses) of the Quran to be true and authentic as the words of God (in Arabic is Allah, swt), whether I fully understand the message or not. Seeing that my lack of understanding doesn’t invalidate the authenticity and the truthfulness of the Quran.

On the other hand, I don’t blame whoever complain and find out of how difficult to understand the Quran, whether its content or of how it was arranged. To be honest I experienced it by myself in the beginning I started to study it when I was 15, and without made a lot of effort, since I was 18, little by little I understood the content of the Quran, to the points of its purpose and methods in general.

Further, together with this article I would like to feel sorry for the inconvenience of Islam to appeal ex-Muslim taste of life. Actually you all have the right to make a choice. As we Muslims welcome the non Muslims to embrace Islam (or revert), I personally agree with those who leave. The problem comes up and disturbs my peace of mind when this lack of understanding of the Quran and Islam appears to be kind of propaganda.

I would like to suggest a better and deeper study on understanding Islam in many views. Meanwhile the steps I would like to advise is that;
1. Dig deeper into the core problems.
2. Declare the commitment to seek for the truth.
3. Be open and honest.

Once again I am not saying, I fully understand the entire messages of the Quran. or I am a good Muslim. I feel better to say I am blessed to understand why I am a Muslim, and still a Muslim.
