People think jumping horses and surfing are polar opposites. And in many ways, they are. But they have flashes of moments that are the same. Like that sweet spot in the wave just before you pop up, the dip and the drop. The moment of takeoff, right before a jump. The three to four seconds of flight.

They both feel like flying.

Just as Inxs’ wise Michael Hutchinson noted in Never Tear Us Apart, “…because we all have wings, but some of us don’t know why.”
