As we cross the milestone of over 20,000 subscribers to this newsletter this week, I’m filled with gratitude. Thank you all for being here and for embarking on this journey with me. ?
I dedicate this Creative Bite to the many extraordinary leaders I’ve had the privilege of meeting and collaborating with in recent months. Your leadership has inspired me to reflect deeply on vital leadership topics and to compose this Creative Bite.
Many of you, whom I’ve met while traveling to remote places and hidden paradises, aren’t on social media. Many of you I’ve met only a few times, yet we have formed wonderful human connections based on mutual trust and support.
My goal is to celebrate each one of you, around the world, who (despite challenges), choose to lead with an open heart and mind.
We might not speak the same language, but the universal language of kindness transcends all cultural, geographical, and linguistic barriers, debunking the notion of division between individuals and nations.
As we conclude the first edition of the Sunrise Venture Summit in Fiji with Monica Laurence, all our ideas have coalesced into an effortless dance of unlimited possibilities.
Here are some ideas to reimagine how we live and lead ourselves and others, grounded in practicality rather than theory:
- Safe Spaces: Places where trust, the flow of ideas, and endless possibilities reign, places where we can elevate the human spirit. Where was the last place you felt safe with your ideas?
- Creativity: Fostered through nature, self-discovery, developing talents and interests, and creative experimentation. When was the last time you played and created joyfully?
- Entrepreneurship: Based on head, heart, & hands alignment (intellect, emotion, and action), fostering lasting innovation and solution-focused entrepreneurship. When did you last solve a challenge?
- Travel, Intercultural Communication, and Community: The essence of being globally-minded. When was your last journey to an unknown place?
- Curiosity & Openness in all possible encounters. When was the last time you set aside judgment to listen openly and curiously, seeking to understand another person without preconceptions? When was the last time when you just listened and observed?
- Sharing & Kindness: Sharing time and other resources, being kind. When did you last share your time or resources and act with genuine kindness?
Your engagement and stories fuel this journey. Let’s continue exploring these themes together and create a world enriched by our collective wisdom and experiences.
