In Surrey, British Columbia, there’s an award-winning teacher named Tiffany Poirer, who’s asking her Grade 6 and 7 students to forget about answering the correct multiple choice question and ponder what lies outside the neat and tidy world of clear cut A, B and C answers instead.
Poirer challenges her students to think philosophically; giving them access to a level of introspection that is so often lacking in present day school systems.
