This Trembling Joy. {Poem} ~ Ann Griffin

This trembling joy

from something said

something heard

With this much joy

the moon inside

shines and rolls off

to the right

With this much joy

tulips bloom in my chest

And toes in green

silk shoes

twirl on a dime

All negatives lay flattened

one day to plump up

to be witnesses once more

Today, though, even the fat geese

sit quietly with their family

And the smooth pond reflects only clear sky

Resting in this grace

of joy
