“Life is as dear to a mute creature as it is to man. Just as one wants happiness and fears pain, just as one wants to live and not die, so do other creatures.”
~ His Holiness The Dalai Lama
(Warning: This video is not for the faint of heart, but everyone who uses cosmetics should watch it anyway.)
It’s about time someone felt the pain that we inflict upon countless animals in the process of making cosmetics. Jacqueline Traide, a student at Oxford Brookes University, had the courage to sit in a store window and submit to numerous animal testing procedures. The campaign is part of a worldwide demonstration project coordinated by Lush Cosmetics and the Humane Society International.
This is compassion. This is love. This is facing your fears. This is not ignorance. This is courage. This is pain and suffering and action for the good of all sentient beings.
I’m going to give her all the kudos I can, and she gets mad props and respect from me.
