Energy is literally the life force that moves through us and all around us. Without it, we would cease to exist.
With it, we are able to do anything from the mundane to the unbelievable. It doesn’t matter if you’re referring to the energy in your space or in your body, it affect us the same way.
Human behavior is affected by energy.
Whatever energy is prevalent in your home is an indicative of your current life circumstances. It’s not a coincidence that you’ve moved into your home and your health started deteriorating, money has been tight or relationships have been suffering. Just like it’s not a coincidence that since you’ve moved into your home, money has been flowing, you feel better than ever before and you’re in a supportive partnership.
When the energy in your home or business is supportive, people experience shifts in their personal and business lives. Opportunities start flowing in and life becomes sweeter and easier. The following is a simple list that anyone can implement to improve their energy or Feng Shui in their home, which will therefore improve personal energy:
1. Make your front entrance important.
The entrance is considered the mouth of the home. This is how energy flows in from the outside to the inside. It’s where all of your opportunities literally and figuratively come in.
It’s the first point of entry for energy to come into your home, ushering in possibilities for money relationships and health. It is also the place you enter. Make sure there’s at least 10 ft. of clearance from the inside and outside of the door. Keep it clear of any clutter or obstacles so that the chi/energy can flow unobstructed. Also, if it faces one of your four good directions, it’s doubly lucky.
To find your good directions, look up your Gua number, which is based on the year you were born and your gender here. Go here to find your four good directions.
2. Arrange your key pieces of furniture so that you are facing or sleeping to your empowering directions.
For example, your bed, family room set up, desk location and any other area you spend long periods of time in. The wealth direction is the best direction to use.
It’s called the power direction because it supports you to have every good thing that life has to offer. It empowers you to accomplish all your goals with money, relationships and health. It enhances money, but it also makes it so that things start flowing easier, and any challenges that were previously had, are now met with little to no resistance. If you can’t use your power or wealth direction, use the other three directions pertaining to health, relationships and stability.
Use the above charts to find your Gua number and directions.
3. If your home has a lot of beams, consider moving furniture situated underneath them or covering them up.
If you have the standard 10 ft. ceilings or lower and have beams underneath key pieces of furniture you spend a lot of time on, consider either sheet rocking the beam, covering it up with beautiful billowing fabric or moving the furniture. If you have high vaulted ceilings then it won’t be an issue.
The closer the beam is to the furniture, the more problematic it becomes.
Move beds, because depending on the beam direction and location, it can adversely affect health or break up relationships. Beams direct intense energy to whatever is underneath it. Over time it can become more aggressive, thus manifesting in health and/or relationship issues.
4. Bring in Mother Nature!
Animals and plants can move and change energy around, for the best. It’s been scientifically proven that plants absorb our negative energy. Therefore, it’s beneficial to have a minimum of a three foot plant in the bedroom or main living areas. Also, animals move the energy around in our homes. Next time, you see your fur baby, make sure to give them extra love because they’re doing you a huge service.
5. Treat everyone as if…
Recently, at one of my lectures, a participant came up to me and asked me if there was a way to shift the energy in their home to help with grief. The person’s daughter had unexpectedly and tragically passed away and was so grief stricken it was palpable. When someone passes away and they’re young, it could be the energy in their home but it could also be their time.
Here’s the thing with grief, it never really goes away. In our society, we’re always trying to find ways to “get over it.” We have a hard time emoting. It’s a process and it takes time. The reality is you never get over it, you just learn how to get thru it.
I firmly believe we should treat everyone as if they’re fighting some kind of battle. Instead of getting upset because the person at the store snapped at you, or the person in the car cut you off, think that maybe they just got diagnosed with a life threatening disease or maybe the person that cut you off is trying to make it to see their loved one that is hospitalized.
Also, I firmly believe that we should treat everyone as if we’re deeply in love with them. I am not talking about romantic love. I am talking about the compassionate, mountain moving force that unites humanity. A kind gesture, smile and conversation can uplift, empower and change someone’s energy for the better.
