In the modern world, it can be difficult to detach from stress.

Millions of people don’t seek help, or even worse, they may turn to harmful substances as a way to relax—putting their health and mental wellbeing at risk. One stress reduction technique is Transcendental Meditation—a simple exercise in self-transcending meditation and reflection.

It’s practitioners can experience the numerous physical and psychological benefits, from low blood pressure to improved concentration.

The technique has seen a boost in popularity in recent years, with celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, David Lynch and Sir Paul McCartney publicly speaking about it’s impact on their lives.

The resurgence in popularity has been coupled with a growth in the number of scientific studies that have investigated the potential benefits of Transcendental Meditation. This helpful infographic overviews the main benefits, alongside a few relevant scientific studies.
