Can we save the world with technology?
Usually I would say no.
You see mostly I’m much more of tree-hugger and a barefoot nature walker then a techie-lover.
But in the midst of my deepest mourning for the state of the planet I have prayed for some powerful solutions to the environmental nightmares that presently exist on our planet.
And the following video shows a technology that appears to be the answer to my prayers, such an answer that I feel ready to embrace technology as one of the answers to our eco-woes.
Chew on this concept:
What if waste plastic—which seems like one the biggest problems we have as a planet—is in fact our biggest solution to the loss of easily accessible fossil fuels?
One man in Japan has figured it out. Take waste plastic and process it into fuel…’plastic to oil’ is what they call it.
Yes, I’m saying we can take our greatest waste, plastic, and turn it into our greatest asset, oil.
Too good to be true?
Not so.
Check it out for yourself in the following video. And then if you too are ready to embrace this technology you can advocate to your local municipality or non-profit recycler to get on board with getting one of these plastic-to-oil machines in your community.
