In my house, my husband is the one with the mad cooking skills skillz.
He’s not the type of person to follow a recipe blindly, rather he likes to peruse many different recipes to get inspiration in the kitchen.
I remember many months ago he asked me: “Are you following Thug Kitchen on Facebook?”
“No,” I told him. “What’s that?
“It’s a recipes website, with lots of good vegetarian recipes. But the presentation is so funny! They drop a lot of F-bombs and stuff like that,” he informed me.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah, but in a clever way, not just to be crass. They are making things light & funny, instead of the same ‘ol, same ‘ol boring recipe stuff,” he said.
“Cool,” I said. “Sounds interesting.”
I took a look at the recipe on his screen. Here is a small sample of what I saw:
“The fennel and ginger in here do fucking wonders for your digestion… Mince up that garlic, and the ginger too, since you’re already chopping shit up.”
Okay, I was officially amused.
The hubby has been following Thug Kitchen on Facebook for a while now, and the other day he was excited because he heard they were putting out a cookbook!
“I wants it!” He exclaimed, grinning impishly.
I made a mental note, but hadn’t thought about it much, until today. When I saw the fucking trailer they made.
To put it plainly: that shit is hilarious.
Take a look and see for yourself! (Unless you are someone easily offended by F-bombs. In which case Thug Kitchen might not be for you.)
The Thug Kitchen cookbook is available “fucking everywhere” in October. With the holidays coming up, this just might make a good gift for that special thug in your life!
