There’s nothing more thrilling than new love.
Its vibrancy empowers us to live in full bliss and joy. Love is at the core of creation and motivates jubilant kindness in all it touches. However, while love may last, it’s said that passion—that breathless giddiness—eventually fades.
Does it have to? You might remember when sex between you and your lover was exciting, freeing and fulfilling for body and soul. The almost-anything-goes kind of sex—and almost anywhere.
What do new lovers do that long-time partners often don’t? It’s really very simple.
New lovers think about each other, long for each other, focus on each other, and show caring for each other in dozens of little ways. When they touch, they don’t do so absentmindedly to the monologue of late-night television, they touch with all of their senses in high gear, actively tasting and absorbing each other’s fragrance. It doesn’t take a time machine or magic to recapture passion—it only takes a willingness to immerse yourself in the original power of love.
Love Project: Herb Power
An excellent project you and your lover can take on is the study and use of herbs to promote healthy sensuality. Herbs have been used for centuries to cure ailments and improve lifestyles. You can either drink them as a tea or buy infused versions of them for baths and massage oils. Here are a few examples of herbs that work wonders for sensuality:
- Damiana: For women’s general sexual health
- Kava: Helps with relaxation
- Siberian Ginseng: For vitality and stamina
- Vervain (Verbena): For fertility
- Ashwagandha: For libido enhancement
When I lived in New York City, there were a solid handful of shops that carried a wide variety of herbs, staffed with knowledgeable herbalists who were friendly and eager to help. However, if you don’t live in a metropolitan area (or one that offers alternative healing resources), you can easily shop online for the herbs you desire. Be sure you do your research to ensure you get the best quality strains of the plants.
So, turn off the TV and start brewing…or infusing or oiling. Your libido (and your partner) will thank you!
