Garlic B 4 Coffee

For me, morning always began with coffee, but that changed about six months back when a yogi in Nepal said garlic was “Nepalese Ginseng.” This led to my giving it serious thought, as the yogi who said it was Chatrul Rinpoche, a one-hundred three-year-old highly venerated master.

I started eating one entire bulb a day with water first thing in the morning.

My coffee comes an hour later. While I miss my coffee first thing, the health benefits of the garlic and the fact that it is stimulating, compensates well.

Here are a few tips for preparing and getting it down without too much suffering.

1)      Boil the gloves for one minute and they will pop right out of their thin peeling.

2)      Peel and chop and let sit for a few minutes. It has been suggested that the active ingredients in garlic are released only after it is in contact with air for a few minutes.

3)      Put the chopped garlic in small glass with honey and mix together. Swallow a tablespoon at a time without chewing. Ghee can also be used but does not work as well as honey. You can also just swallow with water, if it is not difficult for you.

Surprisingly, I have not noticed any body odor from this morning routine, although I have often before when eating garlic dishes during the day. Perhaps it is because it is absorbed first thing in the morning. I feel it is doing all the good things garlic is renowned for, purifying blood, ridding body of parasites, preventing colds, protecting my heart, and so forth, and intuitively I feel heathier.

Garlic is a known stimulant, and taking it first thing in the morning, though no substitute for coffee, will offer a morning lift, and without a letdown.

I have done a couple of YouTube videos on my morning routine, if you care to watch:

If you give it a try and like the way you feel, please share with friends.

Affectionately, Richard
