Unsilenced: What I Gained after Overcoming Abuse.
Adrian Molina is a widely recognized figure in the realms of community organization, mental health advocacy, and more. Known not only in his home of Miami Beach, Florida, but also internationally, he dedicates his life to forging connections and bringing about positive change, especially among those often overlooked in society.
His journey in social service began at a homeless shelter for women and children, deepening his understanding of the challenges faced by the less privileged. He also served as a volunteer in maximum security prisons in Miami, bringing mind-body practices to the incarcerated, and consistently works with his local police station (MBPD), emphasizing the importance of mental wellness for law enforcement.
Additionally, Adrian has collaborated with various hospitals, sharing the benefits of stress reduction practices with doctors, medical residents, and patients. This involvement underscores his belief in the integral role of mind-body practices in healthcare.
Adrian co-founded the Warrior Flow School in 2021, an online platform offering trauma-informed yoga education worldwide. These programs are designed for those interested in community outreach and the medical field, demonstrating how mind-body practices can be instrumental in navigating challenging times.
After his own struggle with depression in 2016, Adrian became a mental health advocate. He volunteers with the 988 suicide and crisis hotline, serves as an ambassador for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and is a trainer for the Boulder Crest Foundation. He specializes in child abuse and suicide prevention, hosting meetings for ASCA (Adult Survivors of Child Abuse) and AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention), and is also a Guardian Ad Litem volunteer for the Department of Children and Families, representing children from the foster care system in court hearings.
Adrian is writing a memoir in honor of his mother, exploring mental health, grief, loss, human resilience, and post-traumatic growth.
