The Emotional Relief that Comes with throwing out the Ancestor’s Trash.
Amy Alley is an artist, poet, author, educator, mother, free-spirited tree hugger and all-around creative being who strives to live artfully and joyfully. Her art is featured in public and private collections nationally and abroad. She attempts series from time to time, but her style is eclectic and her themes rarely stay the same for long. She has worked in collaboration with Athens, Ga. based Hippocampus Designs to design a skirt featuring her art. Her first novel, The Absence of Anyone Else, (2010) was re-released as a second edition print with book club questions in Fall of 2018. Her poetry was featured in The Virus Came Calling, a poetry anthology by Golden Foothills Press (2020). She enjoys traveling, reading, knitting, snail mail, black coffee, sweater weather, thrift stores, festivals, and being outdoors. She and her teenage son live at the edge of the woods with three fat cats and a lazy dog in Upstate South Carolina. Visit her website at www.panpanstudios.com.
