Andra Moldoveanu

Andra Moldoveanu recently relocated from Toronto, Canada to Wellington, New Zealand after taking some time off to nurture self-care and backpack through South East Asia with her partner.

Her background is in social work, offering a compassionate, strengths based approach to engage and foster change and growth. She has over 10 years of experience in educational settings, community mental health and child welfare. She is currently working in family violence and sexual harm prevention and intervention. Her approach is built on trauma informed care, to integrate mind and body healing through top-down and bottom-up approaches; as well as working from a social justice lens to understand and challenge systemic inequities and oppressive practices and policies.

She is also a certified yoga teacher who is passionate about creating a cultural shift towards a trauma sensitive, inclusive approach to yoga everywhere. Inspired by her own lived experience, she hopes to uplift others in turn.
