David Parker is the National Men’s Head Javelin Coach for the Chinese National Team and the Lead Javelin Coach for the Shanghai Provincial Track & Field Team. Xu Jiajie, the current Chinese National Champion in the shot put, is one of the athletes he mentors. In 2021, he coached Xu to a career-best throw of 84.54 meters. While working with track and field athletes at the provincial and national levels, he provided substantial strength and conditioning services to a wide range of different disciplines of the sport. “The Javelin Throw” or TJT is a new business endeavor that is a one-stop-shop for all things javelin-related.
