Danae Jimenez

Danae Jimenez prefers not to be encapsulated in word frames, but could be depicted by impressionist strokes such as someone who is deeply fascinated by ancient mystical traditions and voluntarily organizes poetry related grassroots events in her local town. She creatively contributes to the world as an architect and has sailed some of its oceans as boat crew. Danae has been a meditation practitioner for over two decades, co-leads and translates meditation workshops, classes and retreats, in addition to voluntarily offering meditation spaces in prison, a refugee camp, and the children program in Plum Village monastery.  A passionate Earth protector, she feels most alive when hiking in the wild alpine mountains, carelessly free when dancing barefoot in the wind and most at home dwelling in the mystical depths of daily life. She is one of four sisters, and one of thirty-seven cousins. Her current focus is on building community, finding her inner voice and just being.
