Moving from Addiction to Recovery: Transformation Through Yoga.
Hello Sweet Creatives, it is a true honor to stand with you and contribute to this incredible community of forward-thinkers, action-figures and change-makers. My professional background began in Public Relations, and I continued my career as an event planner and fundraiser for a prominent reproductive health organization for a decade. When the market crashed in 2008, I found myself in the category of “sink or swim” entrepreneurs and for 10 years, I swam like hell, creating my own business and project consulting company Urban Siren (www.urbansiren.com). In tandem, I pursued a dedicated path in wellness and yoga, earning my 500 E-RYT YACEP. I learned quite a few lessons through that journey which I hope to write about here. I have a dream to offer a sliding scale and scholarship-friendly yoga certification course as a certified yoga school. Goals, says this double Capricorn! My interest in the Tarot as a means to access our intuition has played a large role in my personal growth and empowerment, and I love sharing the wisdom of the Tarot on my Urban Siren Podcast and answer listener’s questions (available on Anchor.FM, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all the podcast platforms). Please feel free to reach out to me with questions or if you just want to chat. I am honored to be a part of the Elephant Journal crew since 2011 (peppered with long hiatuses) as a contributing trouble maker
writer. Feel free to heckle reach me at diane[at]urbansiren.com and Twitter with me @urbansiren. All my links can be found here, too:
Lifetime Contribution is a record of a reader's all-time activity on Elephant Journal.
