I am an old soul in a pensive little girl; too shy to speak up but a lover of the written word; heartbroken & disillusioned, but reborn from the ashes of yesterday; a poet in times of pain; one who MUST write to find herself again & again & again…

I don’t love to write, I simply MUST! It is how I express myself best. I write about the things that get me thinking, the things that cause me pain or give me hope, the things that inspire me and open my eyes, the things that touch my soul or touch a nerve, and sometimes when I am moved to, I write poetry.

A few years ago, I stopped having time to write, and the best part of me just died. I lost myself completely, being everything to everyone else. Without a way to share my soul, it felt like I had stopped breathing. I forgot to breathe. And life choked me and drowned me, until I was no more. Just a hollow shell of a once vibrant soul. Then I felt that all too familiar ache in my chest, and I realized I was still alive… barely so… a tiny spark on a wick, flickering and fighting to stay alive. And as I gasped my way back to life, I knew I had to tell my story.

This is my attempt to find myself again and be who I was created to be. This is my sacred space, my journey back to my soul, my attempt to share something of myself with the world. I do not expect anything in return except the freedom to simply be.

I share here the things that inspire me, touch me deeply, comfort me, give me food for thought, or just give me the strength to get through another day… in the hope that it might do the same for you.
