Born in New York, Jordan Mechner created the pioneering video games Karateka, Prince of Persia, and The Last Express. He collaborated with Ubisoft and Disney as game designer and screenwriter to relaunch Prince of Persia as a global franchise in 2003 (game) and 2010 (film). Jordan’s books include the New York Times best-selling, Eisner award-nominated graphic novel Templar, and his 1980s game development journals The Making of Karateka and The Making of Prince of Persia. He wrote and directed the IDA award-winning documentary Chavez Ravine: A Los Angeles Story. Jordan lives in France and has two children. He keeps a sketch journal. Find him on his website.
