Katie O'Hara

Katie O’Hara has been writing short stories, poetry, and prose since she before she could even properly hold a pencil. Growing up as a self-proclaimed “book nerd,” she knew from a young age that while the world may not always make sense, she could always find meaning in the stories she devoured regularly and that her purpose in this crazy life was very clear: she was sent here to write.

Katie hopes that her work can help others to cope with grief and find solace in the fact that they are not alone, laugh with and at her as she recounts some of her most harrowing socially awkward encounters, and travel with her as she explores the world and her surroundings, hoping to discern some meaning and joy along the way.Katie is a Colorado native from Steamboat Springs and loves spending her time with friends and family, running, snowboarding, practicing yoga, traveling, reading, writing, and most importantly, fulfilling her other lifelong dream of becoming the world’s finest cat lady. Edgar and Oliver, her fur-babies, are a source of great inspiration for her current creative endeavors.
