Mayan Silkoff is a 28 year old currently residing in Philadelphia. Mayan has a diverse background having grown up with British parents and family. She was born in Haifa Israel, and subsequently moved to Canada, Colorado, Philadelphia and a few places in between. Mayan grew up with three older brothers, something she took great pride in. It was always an adventure being the only girl.
Mayan works as a registered nurse in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She enjoys caring for patients and families during their most vulnerable times. She also works in clinical trials when she finds a moment of free time.
Writing is something new for her but has become a very powerful emotional outlet. She hopes in sharing her work that others will feel less alone and maybe even feel a glimmer of hope amidst a world full of chaos and tragedy.
