Melissa is a union Hairstylist based in New York City. She is a graduate of NHA Paul Mitchell Partner School in New Haven, CT, and received her license as a cosmetologist in 2008. Melissa’s passion for the craft, paired with her artistic ability to connect with others and fulfill their visions, allows success to her talent as a hairstylist. With a decade of experience in the arts, Melissa has numerous credits in regional theatre, Broadway & television productions. She is a member of I.A.T.S.E Local 798 Hair and Makeup Artists union.Melissa styled wigs in recent years for heralded shows on Broadway such as The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, Matilda the Musical, Beautiful the Carole King Musical, Aladdin, Kinky Boots, Book of Mormon and Motown the Musical leading to acclaim from talent and industry leaders. Melissa also joined the First National Tour of Matilda the Musical, as the Assistant Hair Supervisor from May ’15 through September ’15.Melissa’s work as lead hairstylist for the British play King Charle’s III on Broadway was highlighted in the October 2015 issue of Vogue. She most recently studied the art of wig building at The Wig Academy, in Eastbourne, England.She is also a graduate of Make-Up Designory school (MUD) in New York City.Additional TV includes: Blindspot, Gotham, The Detour (TBS) Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and the TODAY show.
