Michael Tubridy has worked for the past two decades for a New York-based, not-for-profit trade association, where he has served as a librarian and, more recently, managing editor of its flagship research publication. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and English from Columbia University in 1982, and his Master’s in Information and Library Science from Pratt Institute in 1997. As a freelance writer, he has written for Irish America Magazine, The Recorder (The Journal of the American Irish Historical Society), Kirkus Reviews, Wilson Library Bulletin, Stages, Current Biography, and Annual Obituary. His blog, A Boat Against the Current is a cultural omniblog covering matters literary as well as theatrical, musical, historical, cinematic(al), etc.
