“Healthy Sisterhood”: 4 Ways Women-to-Women Bonding Helps to Sort our Emotions.
Neetu Vyas, originally from India, lived in Suriname (South America) for many years before moving to Oakville, Canada in 2011 with her husband and twins (a boy and a girl, now aged 17 years). Working for the United Nations-World Health Organization in Suriname for more then a decade, she had life-altering experiences as an UN employee, mainly in the field of social reforms in third-world countries . Her empath and intuitive nature made her see and feel the pain of the communities facing social injustices. Living in Suriname and travelling around Caribbean and South America, Neetu was influenced by the stories and experiences of various people whom she met and has known. This quest lead her on a personal journey of finding self. Neetu is also a spiritualist, an avid reader, an ardent believer of goodness in the heart of humans and a transcendental meditation practitioner. She loves to work with children by teaching them the importance of emotional intelligence and mindfulness combined with her STEM based, LEGO-Robotics after school program for kids aged 4-10 yrs. She also has a non-profit organization called “Chain Of Goodness” http://www.chainofgoodness.org which is consistent with her efforts to motivate youth to volunteer and pursue careers in International Development.
